From ice cream lovers to video games fanatics, we’ve all heard of those mythical people who get free stuff in the name of ”research”. Well, now is your chance to join their ranks and get your hands on some free sex toys – by testing them. Yes, really.
We-Vibe and Womanizer, two premium sex toy brands, have put a call for Europe-wide guinea pigs to try their latest sex-tech products. They call the tester panel – launched in early 2019, and currently comprised of 1,000 people all over Europe – their MasturbaTEAM. Inspired!
So how does it all work? If you’re interested, you can sign up for free and receive an email as soon as a product is available that matches your preferences. Johanna Rief, Head of Sexual Empowerment (that job title!) says, ”Potential testers need to supply just a few details on their preferences before they receive their neutral and discreet package in the post. So our testers can participate according to their mood, desire and time,” she explains.
Once you’ve sampled a product, you just need to fill out a questionnaire sharing your thoughts. And get ready to indulge your inner TV panel judge – the more honest and critical your feedback, the better.
We-Vibe and Womanizer say the companies’ goal is to ”satisfy customer needs and desires with stylish, high quality, innovative products”. She adds, “this is only possible if we incorporate the opinions and feedback of our users directly into product development.”
“The results of the questionnaires are evaluated internally, anonymously and passed on to the respective specialist departments,” says a spokesperson. “The delivery addresses are deleted after the products have been dispatched. The toy can of course be kept as a thank-you and reward for your efforts.
”We take our job very seriously and invest in research,” she adds. “All new products go through several development and testing phases. From the alpha test with 10-20 employees to the actual product test with about 100 external testers.”
On the subject of safety, Rief told Cosmopolitan UK, ”We have a multi-stage test procedure; the tester panel is part of the final steps. Thus the participants receive an almost finished product that has been continuously tested for our quality standards.” So no worries there.
